Hi there, I'm nina.
- nice to meet you

BEHIND THE LENS

In the summer of 2023, after a lot of practice and experimenting with friends and family, I decided to take my love for photography to the next level and started my own photography business on the side. My mission as a photographer is simple yet profound: I want to create spontaneous photos that genuinely make people happy and that they'll cherish forever. Capturing those precious moments and memories that would otherwise fade over the years - that's my passion.

Although I didn't pursue formal education, I passionately started reading, researching, and, most importantly, practicing endlessly. I've taken a few workshops, both online and in person, which have certainly improved my skills. I'll never stop learning and evolving as a photographer.

My journey in the world of photography has only just begun, and I'm excited to see where this adventure will take me. Whether you want to capture special moments together or just learn more about my work, let's chat and make memories.

GET TO KNOW ME BETTER

Q1.  What's your favorite memory so far ?

Getting married to my best friend aka the love of my life, in Las Vegas on the 9th of February 2023. It will probably be my favorite memory forever.

Q2.  What's your favorite way to unwind and relax after a busy day of photography?

First things first, when I get home I back-up my photos. When all is safe, I love to sit in my sofa, watch some episodes or a movie and order some good food.

Q3.  What's the most adventurous thing you've ever done ?

I'm  not sure it counts as 'adventurous' but when I was younger I traveled to Indonesia by myself with my backpack for a couple of months.

Q4.  What's a fact about you that most people don't know?

My mom is from Germany, what makes me half-German. I still visit my family there from time to time.

orn on the second of october in 1991 and based in the beautiful city of Antwerp, Belgium.

If you had known me as a kid, you probably would have seen me always wandering around with a camera in my hand, sometimes even with 'borrowed' cameras from my parents (Sorry, Mom and Dad, you were my first 'victims'!). It was the beginning of a lifelong love affair with photography, and I just couldn't get enough of it. In fact, by the time I was fourteen or fifteen, I had saved up enough to buy my very first DSLR camera, mainly because my parents had grown tired of sharing theirs.

It was the beginning of a lifelong love affair with photography, and I just couldn't get enough of it. In fact, by the time I was fourteen or fifteen, I had saved up enough to buy my very first DSLR camera, mainly because my parents had grown tired of sharing theirs.

But as life often goes, my dreams took a backseat. When I got older, my parents didn't want me to study photography. The uncertainty of just pursuing my passion held me back. That is, until one day in April 2022, my house was broken into, and my cameras were stolen. What surprised me, though, was the unexpected pain I felt at the loss of those cameras, even though they were collecting dust. This was the turning point that made me realize I needed to take my passion seriously.

Even tho' a couple of years ago I would've said that I'd live more in  nature as I'd get older. But the last couple of years it became clear that I will always be a city-girl. Don't understand me wrong, I LOVE NATURE, just for a day or a week. Nature is a beautiful gift but for me, I'll never get tired of city-views.

Ofcourse for you, I'll do it all without any doubt. But my best editing time is around midnight. My husband will be sleeping 9/10 and there's nothing that can distract me. Just me, my laptop, your photos and GO !

Tea tea tea tea !! Haha
I just truely don't like the taste of coffee.

Is it a fair choice ? They're both so cuddly and sweet...
But fair enough, we've got a cat named 'Minnie Mousse' yes, mousse, like chocolate mousse, and she's the queen of our castle. But just so you know, I do love dogs!

I'll pick pizza over burgers any time of the day. But here comes the silly part: I don't eat cheese, no not on pizza, not on a sandwich, not baked, not in pasta, not with a cracker, no no no. Just no cheese for me please :) I do like a burger from time to time, but pizza will never dissapoint me. (except when it arrives with cheese ofcourse...)

our love story

Nick and I decided to break away from our routine and immerse ourselves in a week-long vacation in Las Vegas - a city known for its vibrant lights and lively atmosphere. In the midst of the dazzling lights of Las Vegas, we eloped in "A Little White Chapel".
We had the best ceremony, it was intimate, filled with laughter, and sealed with a kiss in World's most famous chapel.

While some questioned the length of our stay, we embraced the opportunity to fully experience the city. From exploring iconic landmarks to trying our luck at the casinos, each day brought new adventures that deepened our connection in unexpected ways.

Then we had a little roadtrip and continued our adventure with a week in Los Angeles. We explored the city's diverse neighborhoods, enjoyed lazy days, and enjoyed the iconic Hollywood sights.

The two weeks, turned into a chapter of our love story - a testament to the joy of spontaneity and the magic of shared experiences.
